My Story
Hi, I’m Scott the founder and owner of Hobart Cleaners.
School wasn’t for me, but fast cars and motorbikes were. I soon realised no schooling wasn’t going to get me faster cars and motorbikes. Seriously though, I realised at a young age that I had a talent of making people feel comfortable around me, so I decided the sales and service industry was for me.
Background
My family was in the food service industry servicing bakeries and patisseries. I gained a lot of experience from an early age servicing the public.
Working for someone else was not for me so at the age of 22 I bought my own truck and contracted myself out to the bakery industry. It was tough going being a young business owner, but I knew that people respected you if you did what you say you would do.
After 10 years I floated back to sales and from there I started my own food services business Carnegies Wholesale Food Ingredients. This was a tough experience but with some really good ones to. My philosophy of “doing what you say you would do” held true.
In 2010 I started a coffee business out of a trailer called Bean Travellin. Working for myself was definitely in my blood.
To Hobart
In 2012 it was time I moved to Hobart and I soon realised that even with all my food industry experience finding a job was nearly impossible! Having no money, I picked up a bucket, mop and vacuum and started Hobart Cleaners. My idea for this sprang from a friend in Queensland who ran a successful cleaning business there.
As business picked up, I then expanded to include carpet steam cleaning. Becoming a one stop shop for cleaning services in Hobart for homes and commercial premises.

I understand how important it is that cleaning is done right so always stay up to date with the latest in cleaning techniques and technologies.
Given the current COVID-19 situation too it’s even more important to stay up to date on the latest sanitisation information and techniques.

There’s more to cleaning
In my free time you’ll find me enjoying a game of cricket or a great movie. Travelling or enjoying other food cultures and of course my puppy Bull Terrier Alaska.
